Isn't it strange at times how much a Digimon can act like a human?

You'd think they wouldn't, that they'd be strange, perhaps more advanced or primitive. But it seems as though they are just like humans, for better or worse.

The strong attack the weak, the weak are crushed and the cruel survive.

Because life here is as unfair as it was back home.

And when all is said and done nothing much has changed other then the scenery. The world is still as disgusting and dark as ever.

You're absolutely right. The world's not fair at all.

I've only ever seen these two worlds, but I wonder if any of them are.

It's heartbreaking really. You have to carve out your own place, hehehehe.

It sounds like you have some experience. Would you be able to offer some advice?

[identity profile] guren-ace.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmph.

And what do you plan on doing about it? Whine and blame others?

[identity profile] umadbear.livejournal.com 2011-11-06 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just making conversation, is there something wrong with that?

If some strong people're attacking the weak, then other strong people gotta keep 'em from getting crushed. Dunno what it's like where you're from, but here there's plenty of people who'll stop the crushing.

How refreshing, but only mildly comforting.

After all it never stops does it? There just isn't enough of those nice strong people.

No. Just gotta do the best you can, even if you're outnumbered.

You won't have much to regret when you die then hmm?

No, I won't.

I'm Tsubaki Sadamitsu. Or Sadamitsu Tsubaki if you're used to the American way like some people here.

Kriem, A pleasure to meet you.

What is it you do for this world?

I work security at the Hyperion. Fight whenever I can, and if I run into anyone causing trouble when I'm out somewhere I beat 'em up.

Sounds like you like when there's trouble.

Heh. Yeah, fighting's fun. Just don't like it when someone goes after people who ain't strong enough to fight back.

[identity profile] fasternlightbot.livejournal.com 2011-11-07 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Seeing how many different types of people live here, I figure it's less acting like a human and more acting like a living being. Everyone's fighting for survival, no matter how civilized they think they are.

[identity profile] umadbear.livejournal.com 2011-11-08 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
But you'd think they'd be more creative no? Not all living beings act like humans do after all.

And yet here I am with some passable coffee from a minimart just like I never left home.

[identity profile] fasternlightbot.livejournal.com 2011-11-08 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
How they deal with the various size differences is pretty creative and isn't something you see humans doing. Besides that, what other creativity do you need? And I guess I shouldn't have used such a broad term now that I think about it, but you get what I mean, yeah? People are people.

What, you don't think aliens have minimarts? Coffee may be questionable, but a small store conveniently located isn't something strictly human.

[identity profile] umadbear.livejournal.com 2011-11-08 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I've never met an alien but I suppose I just always thought if you were on another world it wouldn't so closely mirror our own.
